Saint Christina
A daughter of the gentile General Urvanos, Saint Christina originated from Tyros in Syria. Her father locked her up in a tower with pagan idols and tortured her to make her renounce on her faith to Jesus Christ who protected her throughout her long martyrdom. When she was thrown into the sea, she received the baptism of Christ Himself and was saved. Her sufferings continued even after the death of her father. She was taken to court and through her countless tortures and suffering many people believed and converted to the Christian religion.
