Saint Daniel
The fourth son of Saint Alexander Nefsksin, Saint Daniel, was born in Vladimir, town of Russia, in 1261 A.D. two years before the death of his father. In 1272, after his mother’s death, he went to Moscow where he built a church and a monastery in honor of the patron Saint Daniel Stylitis. He faced internal conflicts and attacks by the Tatars, fell ill and retired as a monk. He received the angelic figure in the monastery of Daniel, where he died in 1303 A.D.
